7-Day Protocol

Soul Connect

A coherent Soul connection begins with empathy: your capacity to attune more subtly to the energy, feelings, and meaning of your Inner Being, while connecting deeply with others without losing yourself in the interaction.

Empathy is one of the most powerful capacities you can develop in the modern world, amplifying your ability to receive, express, and create from genuine inspiration and alignment.

This 7-day Soul Connect Protocol is a deep exploration designed to strengthen this capacity and reconnect you with the deepest feelings, meaning, and guidance of your Soul.

7 Days to Deepen Your Connection with Yourself, Your Soul & Others

Empathy is the capacity to become deeply receptive to experience while remaining connected to yourself.

It is the ability to listen beneath words, sense beneath appearances, and become sensitive to the subtle information available through emotion, intuition, imagination, inspiration, insight, and presence.

During Coherence, we created space to hear ourselves again.

During Character, we deepen that connection.

The intention of these seven days is to strengthen your capacity to remain connected to your soul while relating to yourself, your environment, and other people.

You are learning to become open without absorbing, sensitive without becoming overwhelmed, and connected without losing yourself.

This is empathetic sovereignty.

Each day introduces one practice. Carry the previous practices forward as you progress.

Day 1 — Observe

Become the Witness

Before we can consciously choose who we are becoming, we need to see clearly who we have been.

Today is an exercise in Awareness.

Rather than immediately changing your emotional patterns, observe them.

Begin the morning with:

“Today I witness myself with openness, curiosity, and compassion.”

Throughout the day, notice what happens within you during interactions.

Create two sections in your journal:

What I Absorb

Notice:

  • When another person's emotional state changes yours

  • When you feel responsible for someone's emotional experience

  • When tension, anxiety, frustration, excitement, or sadness enters your body

  • When you continue carrying an interaction after it has ended

  • When you lose connection with your own state because someone else's becomes dominant

What I Project

Notice:

  • When you interpret someone's experience through your own past

  • When you immediately relate their story to something that happened to you

  • When you assume you know what someone is feeling

  • When you feel compelled to advise, fix, reassure, or rescue

  • When your desire to connect pulls attention away from their experience and toward yours

Simply document what happens.

For example:

“They expressed uncertainty about their work. I immediately felt tension in my chest and wanted to tell them what I thought they should do.”

Or:

“They shared something they were excited about. I noticed the impulse to tell them about something similar that happened to me.”

Evening Inquiry

Ask:

  • Whose emotions affect me most strongly?

  • Which emotions do I absorb most easily?

  • When am I most likely to project my own experience?

  • When do I feel compelled to fix, advise, reassure, or rescue?

  • What might I be seeking when I do this?

  • What happens to my connection with myself in these moments?

  • What helps me remain connected to myself?

Finish:

“Today I became aware that…”

Do not judge what you discover.

Awareness creates choice.

Day 2 — Listen

Become More Interested Than Interesting

Today we practice listening without immediately inserting ourselves into what we hear.

Begin with:

“Today I listen to understand.”

Choose at least three conversations today in which you consciously practice empathetic listening.

Practice 1 — Release Self-Reference

Experiment with removing:

  • Personal anecdotes

  • “Me too” responses

  • Comparisons

  • Unrequested advice

  • Attempts to demonstrate that you understand

Notice how frequently the impulse arises.

Practice 2 — Ask Into Their Experience

Instead of immediately interpreting what someone says, become curious.

Ask:

“What was that like for you?”

“How did that feel?”

“What feels most important about this?”

“What happened next?”

“What do you think this is showing you?”

“What do you really want?”

Allow their experience to remain their experience.

Practice 3 — Three Breaths

When someone finishes speaking, take three relaxed breaths before responding.

Feel your body.

Relax.

Listen inwardly.

Then respond.

This small pause interrupts habitual reaction and creates space for intuition and deeper perception.

Evening Inquiry

Reflect:

  • What did I hear when I stopped preparing my response?

  • What surprised me?

  • What did someone reveal that I might normally have missed?

  • Where did I feel the urge to interrupt, relate, advise, or fix?

  • What happened when I allowed more space?

  • Could I sense anything beneath their words?

Finish:

“When I became quieter, I could hear…”

Day 3 — Discern

Listen Beneath the Words

Empathy does not require believing every interpretation your mind produces.

Today we practice the distinction between perception and projection.

Begin with:

“Today I remain open to what I perceive without assuming that I know.”

During meaningful interactions, become aware of three simultaneous layers.

Layer 1 — What Is Being Communicated?

Observe:

  • Their words

  • Their tone

  • Their expression

  • Their body

  • Their emotional state

Layer 2 — What Might Be Beneath It?

Become receptive to:

  • What seems difficult for them to express

  • The feeling beneath the words

  • What appears meaningful to them

  • What they may actually be seeking

  • What your intuition notices

But hold these perceptions lightly.

Instead of:

“I know what they're really feeling.”

Practice:

“I wonder if…”

Then, when appropriate, ask.

“Is there something deeper underneath this for you?”

“What do you feel you're really needing right now?”

“Would you like me to listen, help you explore this, or offer my perspective?”

Layer 3 — What Is Happening Within Me?

Simultaneously notice:

  • My judgments

  • My emotional reactions

  • My assumptions

  • My desire to help

  • My desire to be liked

  • My desire to be right

  • My projections from past experience

This is where empathy becomes self-knowledge.

Evening Inquiry

Ask:

  • What did I perceive accurately today?

  • Where did I confuse assumption with intuition?

  • Where did my history color what I perceived?

  • When did judgment interrupt curiosity?

  • What changed when I became curious instead of certain?

  • How does genuine intuition feel different from mental interpretation?

Finish:

“When I release the need to know, I become available to…”

Day 4 — Go Deeper

Listen for Meaning

Human beings rarely communicate only through the literal content of their words.

Beneath an experience is often a feeling.

Beneath the feeling is meaning.

Beneath the meaning may be a belief, desire, fear, memory, or need.

Today we practice listening vertically rather than horizontally.

Begin with:

“Today I listen beneath the story for what carries meaning.”

When someone shares something meaningful, gently explore deeper layers.

The Four Layers

1. Experience

What happened?

2. Feeling

What did you feel?

3. Meaning

What did that experience mean to you?

4. Deeper Pattern

What does this connect to within your life?

Possible questions:

“What feels most significant about this?”

“What does this bring up for you?”

“Have you felt this before?”

“When do you remember first feeling something like this?”

“What did you need then?”

“What did you begin believing because of that experience?”

“How might that still be affecting you now?”

Your job is not to diagnose.

Your job is not to heal.

Your job is to hold space for discovery.

Trust that another person's soul possesses its own intelligence.

Turn the Practice Inward

Use the same process with yourself.

When something activates you today, ask:

What happened?

What am I feeling?

What meaning am I giving this?

What does this connect to?

What might my emotions be guiding me toward?

Evening Inquiry

Finish:

“When I listened beneath the surface today, I discovered…”

Day 5 — Remain Sovereign

Open Heart. Clear Center.

Deep empathy does not require emotional fusion.

The aim is neither detachment nor absorption.

It is empathetic sovereignty.

Begin with:

“I can feel deeply while remaining connected to myself.”

During conversations today, continually notice:

Am I present with this person while still present with myself?

Use your body as your anchor.

Feel:

  • Your feet

  • Your breath

  • Your spine

  • Your heart

  • The space surrounding your body

Imagine that your awareness is simultaneously:

50% with yourself
50% with the other

You are neither abandoning yourself nor withdrawing from them.

You are meeting.

When You Begin Absorbing

Return attention to your body.

Breathe deeply.

Relax your shoulders.

Feel your feet.

Remember:

“This feeling can be present without becoming mine.”

When You Begin Withdrawing

Soften.

Open your posture.

Relax your defenses.

Become curious again.

Return attention to the person in front of you.

Evening Inquiry

Ask:

  • Do I naturally move toward emotional fusion or emotional distance?

  • Which people make it hardest for me to remain centered?

  • Which emotions pull me away from myself?

  • What helped me remain grounded?

  • Could I feel another person more clearly when I stopped absorbing them?

  • What does sovereignty feel like in my body?

Finish:

“I remain connected to others by remaining connected to…”

Day 6 — Create Space

Listen to the Silence

Soul requires space.

Intuition requires space.

Inspiration requires space.

Understanding requires space.

Today we deliberately create it.

Begin with:

“I do not need to fill the space. I allow the space to speak.”

Throughout your conversations, practice increasingly comfortable silence.

When someone finishes speaking:

Pause.

Breathe.

Remain present.

Allow what they said to land.

Notice what happens next.

Sometimes they will continue.

Sometimes another emotion will surface.

Sometimes you will suddenly understand something you hadn't understood before.

Sometimes an intuitive question will arise.

Sometimes nothing needs to be said.

Practice these simple invitations:

“Tell me more.”

“What else?”

“And?”

Or simply:

Silence.

Do not use silence as a technique to extract information.

Use it as an act of spacious presence.

Practice the Same Silence Alone

Spend at least 20 minutes today without:

  • Phone

  • Music

  • Podcast

  • Reading

  • Conversation

  • Content

  • Tasks

Walk, sit, or lie somewhere quietly.

Allow your nervous system to settle.

Then ask inwardly:

“What wants my attention?”

Do not force an answer.

Listen.

Evening Inquiry

Ask:

  • What emerged when I stopped filling space?

  • What did others reveal?

  • What did I notice intuitively?

  • What did I notice within myself?

  • What happened when I became comfortable with not knowing what to say?

  • What did silence allow me to feel?

Finish:

“In the space between thoughts and words, I noticed…”

Day 7 — Integrate

Soul-Led Presence

Today you bring everything together.

The intention is no longer to “practice empathy.”

The intention is to become a more receptive human being.

Move through your interactions carrying the qualities you have practiced:

Awareness
Listening
Discernment
Depth
Sovereignty
Spaciousness

Choose three different interactions.

Conversation One — Someone Close to You

Listen to someone you think you already know.

Become curious again.

Release your existing image of them.

Who are they today?

What are they feeling?

What matters to them now?

What might you have stopped noticing because you assumed you already knew?

Conversation Two — Someone Who Activates You

Remain connected to yourself.

Notice projection.

Notice judgment.

Notice emotional absorption.

Breathe.

Listen.

Ask:

“Can I remain connected to my soul while allowing this person to be exactly where they are?”

Practice connection without control.

Conversation Three — The World

Extend your empathy beyond conversation.

Go somewhere and observe.

A café.

A park.

A street.

Nature.

Sit without your phone.

Notice people.

Notice expressions.

Notice energy.

Notice movement.

Notice beauty.

Notice what captures your attention.

Let imagination awaken.

Let curiosity awaken.

Let inspiration arise naturally.

Ask:

“What is life showing me?”

The Character Reflection

At the end of the seventh day, return to your journal.

Reflect on the entire week:

  • What have I discovered about the way I relate to other people?

  • What have I discovered about the way I relate to myself?

  • Where have I confused empathy with emotional absorption?

  • Where have I confused intuition with projection?

  • What happens when I listen without needing to respond?

  • What happens when I remain grounded in myself?

  • What have my emotions been showing me?

  • Has my intuition become clearer?

  • Has my imagination become more active?

  • Have I noticed more inspiration?

  • What feels meaningful to me now that I wasn't noticing before?

  • When this week did I feel most connected to my soul?

  • When did I feel most connected to another person?

  • What qualities of Character made those moments possible?

Then ask:

Who am I when I am deeply connected to my soul?

Describe that Character.

How do they listen?

How do they speak?

How do they feel?

How do they respond?

How do they relate?

How do they create?

How do they love?

How do they remain sovereign?

How do they move through the world?

Finally, complete:

“When I am connected to my soul, I am…”

Let your answer become part of the self-image you consciously rehearse and embody throughout Character.

The Practice Moving Forward

The seven days are an introduction to a different way of relating.

Observe without immediately reacting.

Listen without immediately relating everything to yourself.

Perceive without assuming.

Explore beneath appearances.

Feel without absorbing.

Create space without needing to fill it.

Remain connected to yourself while opening deeply to life.

This is the paradox:

The more deeply rooted you become within yourself, the more deeply you can meet another.

And the quieter the interference of the conditioned self becomes, the easier it becomes to perceive the subtle guidance that has always been available within you.

Your soul speaks through feeling, meaning, imagination, inspiration, intuition, and insight.

Character is learning to become quiet enough to hear it, grounded enough to trust it, and courageous enough to live from it.
